What a Landlord Gas Safety Record Shows

A landlord gas safety record, often called a CP12, records the results of the gas safety checks. It identifies the appliances checked, the engineer and any safety defects or remedial action.

The record should be issued after the required checks are completed, even if defects are found. Unsafe appliances must not be used until the problem has been addressed.
