Gas Safety Certificate
There are many different types of gas safety certificate that can be issued. Many of them are done when a gas appliance is installed. When most people enquire about a “gas safety certificate” it relates to annual safety checks.
Having a gas safety certificate issued annually for gas appliances is a legal requirement for landlords of residential rented properties. This certificate is referred to as a Gas Safety Record (CP12). Annual safety checks must be carried out by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
An annual Gas Safety Record (CP12) ensures gas appliances at a property comply with UK gas safety regulations. We believe customers should be provided with a more detailed assessment of their boiler beyond standard safety checks to highlight any possible problems.
